Greyhounds Earn First Win of the Season
The Gull Lake Greyhounds picked up their first victory of the Sask‑Alta Baseball League season earlier this week, defeating the Climax Cardinals 15–1. Brayden Sumner connected for his first home run of the year, and Sam Kirwan recorded his first strikeouts of the season during his outing on the mound. The Greyhounds meet the Cardinals again on June 11, followed by a home game against the Cabri River Rats on June 18 at Green Power Ball Park. Gull Lake Events

Gull Lake Fire Responds to Garden Tractor Fire
A 911 call at 5:37 p.m. alerted emergency responders to a garden tractor fire on the lawn at the north end of the parking area at Autumn House. The garden tractor was cutting the lawn when it caught fire. The unit—the only mower used for groundskeeping—was fully involved when firefighters arrived, but the Gull Lake Fire Department extinguished the fire within minutes. Sold‑Out Premiere for Dead Prairies Productions at the Lyceum
Gull Lake saw another full house over the weekend as Dead Prairies Productions premiered The Killer Balloon 2: ’Til Death Do Us Part at the SWT Lyceum Theatre. The screening drew a sold‑out audience—the first theatre premiere in the company’s history. The evening featured pre‑show activities, merchandise, and a 50/50 draw, with proceeds supporting the Swift Current SPCA.
