Tompkins Fundraiser Raises $9,280.00
On October 21, 2023, the Tompkins Country Carnival and Halloween Dance raised $9,280.00, which was split evenly between the Waterplant and the Library. The Village Council expressed the following thanks to everyone who contributed to the event's success. Gull Lake Kinettes Fundraisers Total $18,485
The Gull Lake Kinettes are always busy raising funds for important projects, facilities, and people in need in the community. To the tune of $18,485, they were able to give to the following in the fiscal year 2022/23: $3,671 to individuals in need $1,000 scholarships $757 Gull Lake Rec complex $900 Gull Lake school programs $2,494 Misc programs in Gull Lake $2,000 Telemiracle $2,000 Lyceum Theatre Renovations $1,500 Kiaskus Trail $4,163 Cystic Fibrosis For a total of $18,485

Dutchman Camper Stolen From Tompkins
A white 1997 Dutchman camper with Saskatchewan licence plate 667MNS, a teal horizontal stripe along the sides, and a length of 26 feet was stolen from Tompkins. The theft happened on August 15, 2023, about 6:20 a.m. The suspect truck is a black crew cab short box with a thick chrome accent on the front driver's, and may have a slip tank in the back.. Ball Diamond to be Renamed "Peyton Keller Memorial Field"
June 4th (Minor Ball Day) will be a special day as we will be officially renaming diamond 2 as “Peyton Keller Memorial Field.” Pey could bring a smile to anyone’s face and he had a heart of gold. 1st Annual Dodgeball Tournament Champions
This past Friday and Saturday, the first annual Dodgeball tournament was conducted at the Gull Lake Recreation Complex. Eleven teams competed for the tournament's championship. Council Advances Policy Overhaul, Approves Property Sales in June Meetings
The Gull Lake Town Council moved ahead with several financial and administrative decisions during its June 10 and June 24 meetings. RCMP Warns of Sharp Increase in Fatal Collisions Across Saskatchewan — Maple Creek Among Hardest Hit
The Saskatchewan RCMP has issued a province‑wide warning after a sharp rise in fatal motor vehicle collisions, including several in the Southwest region. Between July 10 and 21, RCMP officers responded to 12 fatal collisions resulting in 17 deaths across Saskatchewan.
