13U Gull Lake Greyhounds to Host 2025 Saskatchewan Provincial Baseball Tournament
The 13U Gull Lake Greyhounds have been awarded hosting rights for the 2025 Saskatchewan Provincial Baseball Tournament, slated for July 25–27 at Gull Lake’s home diamonds. New Plaque Added to Memorial for 1980 CPR Steel Gang Crash — June 16 Events Planned in Webb
A new plaque has been added to the roadside memorial west of Webb to honour the 22 men who died in the 1980 CPR Prairie Steel Gang bus crash—the deadliest highway accident in Saskatchewan history and one of the worst in Canada. The addition provides more historical detail for the many travellers who stop at the site each year. Gull Lake Fire Responds to Garden Tractor Fire
A 911 call at 5:37 p.m. alerted emergency responders to a garden tractor fire on the lawn at the north end of the parking area at Autumn House. The garden tractor was cutting the lawn when it caught fire. The unit—the only mower used for groundskeeping—was fully involved when firefighters arrived, but the Gull Lake Fire Department extinguished the fire within minutes.
