Spotlight: Gull Lake Recreation Complex—The Heart of Our Community

Inside the Gull Lake Recreation Complex, the skating rink is more than just a place to lace up—it’s a cornerstone of winter life in our town. Operated by a dedicated volunteer board and supported by a network of local volunteers, the rink runs smoothly thanks to those who help keep the games going, the events running, and the spirit alive. Staff work hard to maintain top‑quality ice, and the concession stand adds to the experience with good food and friendly service.

🏒 Minor Hockey: Building Pride and Teamwork

The rink is home to Gull Lake Greyhound and Cyclone minor hockey teams, ranging from Initiation to U18. These young athletes carry the pride of our community every time they step onto the ice, learning teamwork, resilience, and the joy of the game.

On the senior side, the Gull Lake Greyhounds compete in the White Mud Hockey League, proudly representing our town with grit and determination. The Esso B’s, Funseekers, and Red Army senior rec teams also bring their own energy and tradition, proving that hockey here is as much about community spirit as it is about competition. The rink also plays host to hockey tournaments that draw players, families, and fans from across the region, adding to the excitement and sense of community pride.
