Whitecap Winterfest Event Seeking Organizational Support
The annual Whitecap Winterfest event is revving up and searching for organizations to collaborate with. Organizers are reaching out to community organizations for assistance in planning the event's various activities, which will serve as a great fundraising opportunity. Relief from Federal Carbon Tax Coming to Saskatchewan Residents in 2024
Saskatchewan residents will be exempt from the federal carbon tax beginning in 2024. SaskEnergy and SaskPower will eliminate the federal carbon tax from home heating in Saskatchewan beginning January 1, 2024, benefiting residents who were excluded from the federal government's decision to exempt the carbon price on home heating oil. Garbage/Recycling Rate Increase Coming January 1, 2024
Town Council approved a $1.00 per month increase to the garbage/recycling fee at the regular meeting on December 13, 2023. As of January 1, 2024, the monthly price to households will increase to $22.00 per month. The rise is due to an increase in the Fuel Surcharge and Recycle Surcharge charged by the town's service provider, Advanced Waste Solutions. Source: Town of Gull Lake

Christmas Cove 2023 at the Gull Lake Campground
During the holiday season, the Gull Lake Campground becomes Christmas Cove. Local businesses and groups work with the Tourism Committee to decorate sites with Christmas displays and bring Christmas cheer to the Town of Gull Lake and surrounding area! CGTW Rec Board Awards $50,000 to Local Organizations
The CGTW (RM of Carmichael, RM of Gull Lake, Tompkins, Webb, and RM Webb) Culture and Recreation Board has today announced the recipients of grant funding dollars totaling $50,000 for the current year. $11,327 of this funding is contributed by the Saskatchewan Lotteries to programming initiatives, which are not capital projects.
