Gull Lake & District Kinette Club has capped off a landmark summer by claiming the coveted Bill Skelly Award—Kin Canada’s highest recognition for community service. Now, with the Bill Skelly Award in hand—a national honour presented to one outstanding Kin Canada club per district each year for their work raising funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis—the Gull Lake Kinettes stand as one of Kin Canada’s most inspiring chapters.

The club’s success builds on the Annual Erpster Golf Tournament—held on May 24, 2025, at Meadowdale Golf Course—which has become a cherished fundraiser for cystic fibrosis research.

Under the stewardship of the Kinettes—who inherited the Erpster Cup from a local family touched by the cause—the tournament flourishes, drawing golfers and donors from across southwest Saskatchewan.

July saw the club proudly mark its 50th anniversary with a community-wide celebration, honoring decades of volunteerism, community, and impact. From their holiday carol fundraiser to a range of community-support initiatives, the Kinettes have consistently exemplified compassion and leadership.

“To Gull Lake & the surrounding communities, this award is a reflection of your generosity, dedication, and heart. We are so proud to share this award with you!” — Gull Lake Kinettes Facebook Page

Their Bill Skelly win not only crowns a year of achievements but also underscores the enduring spirit of service that defines the Gull Lake Kinettes—one swing, one fundraiser, and one heartfelt moment at a time.
