Opening Line

On a beautiful rainy afternoon on June 29, our beloved mother, grandma, sister, wife, and friend, Jeanette Goohsen, passed peacefully in her sleep.

Born in Guernsey, Saskatchewan, Jeanette embraced many roles throughout her life with grace and dedication. She was a teacher, a farmer, a gardener, a musician, and an avid traveler whose curiosity and love of learning were reflected in her many hobbies and interests. She touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and strength.

Jeanette began her teaching career south of Gull Lake, where she met the love of her life, Jack. Together they built a life on the family farm, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and hard work. They raised six children, instilling in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and the importance of family.

Life & Legacy

Jeanette’s life was defined by her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. She approached every role—in her family, her work, and her community—with dedication and sincerity. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to inspire and comfort for years to come.

Family

Jeanette is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jack, their six children, grandchildren, extended family, and all those she held close. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
