What Does the 2025 Pig Spleen Weather Prognostication Foretell?
This year’s forecast is based on spleen specimens from several locations around the Tompkins, Saskatchewan area. Special thanks go out to the David Wagman Ranch, Clint Cobler farm, Earview Colony, and Stu Christiansen farm. These pigs provided excellent spleens for the ensemble predictions for this year. Gull Lake Museum/Visitor Centre 2023 Highlights
The Museum Visitor Centre began the year with a well-attended Canada Day Celebration BBQ. The Monday Ladies Teas, which are always popular, were well attended. The Gull Lake Tourism Committee expanded the Museum this year by adding a Visitor Centre and the Prairie Handmade Gift Shop. SWT Theatre Seeks Quotes for Major Renovation Project
The SWT Lyceum Theatre will be renovated to modernise the concession, lobby and lavatory rooms. The 45-year-old facility has served the community well, but it's time to renovate in order to better serve the patrons. The board is soliciting bids from prospective contractors in order to ensure due diligence by obtaining the best pricing for the significant renovation. Dutchman Camper Stolen From Tompkins
A white 1997 Dutchman camper with Saskatchewan licence plate 667MNS, a teal horizontal stripe along the sides, and a length of 26 feet was stolen from Tompkins. The theft happened on August 15, 2023, about 6:20 a.m. The suspect truck is a black crew cab short box with a thick chrome accent on the front driver's, and may have a slip tank in the back..
