Gift stores not only help to draw people to museums, but the correct gift shop can add to the museum's uniqueness. When the Prairie Handmade Shop first opened, it was dedicated to selling and promoting the work of Southwest Saskatchewan artists and craftspeople. The Gull Lake Tourism Committee is aiming to broaden the Museum's function in order to attract more visitors and promote tourism and businesses in Gull Lake and the surrounding area.
