Break and Enter at Viterra Grain Terminal
On July 29, 2023, the Viterra Grain Terminal in the RM of Gull Lake was victim of a break and enter. A male driving a red Ford F150 with a black hood went to the location, stole gas and cut a lock off of a building. Prairie Handmade Shop Relocates to the Gull Lake Museum
The Gull Lake Tourism Committee welcomes the relocation and reopening of the Prairie Handmade Shop in the Gull Lake Museum. Gift stores not only help to draw people to museums, but the correct gift shop can add to the museum's uniqueness. When the Prairie Handmade Shop first opened, it was dedicated to selling and promoting the work of Southwest Saskatchewan artists and craftspeople. My name is Kaydence Haithwaite, and I am one of the Tourism Ambassadors for the summer of 2023! I have lived in Gull Lake my whole life, and recently graduated this year! I love finding out the local history of our town, and seeing all of the fascinating items that the museum has collected throughout the years! They will be our Tourism Ambassadors, greeting visitors and promoting Gull Lake and Area Attractions and Businesses at the museum/Visitor Centre. Gull Lake Museum to Open Visitor Information Centre and Gift Shop
The Gull Lake Tourism Committee is aiming to broaden the Museum's function in order to attract more visitors and promote tourism and businesses in Gull Lake and the surrounding area. A visitor information centre and gift shop will be located in the main building. Gull Lake School's Classes of 1969 and 1970 Donate to SWT Lyceum Theatre Renovation
(L) Norm White (R) Cole Girodat Gull Lake School's Classes of 1969 and 1970 generously donated $200 to the SWT Lyceum Theatre for the theatre renovation project. This cheque is presented by Norm White, who volunteers at the theatre with his wife Jean every Saturday night!
