In a huge show of community support, Gull Lake has surged to the top of the leaderboard in the race for the 2024 Rink Burger crown. According to reporting by David Zammit at Swift Current Online , Gull Lake captured nearly 24% of all votes in the opening round—a commanding early lead that secured them the #1 seed. Upcoming Highway No. 37 Reconstruction: What to Expect in Gull Lake?
Highway No. 37 through Gull Lake is being reconstructed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways for 1.3 km, including new concrete curbs and gutters and an asphalt surface within the town limits. Saskatchewan Tourism Week will take place from April 15 to 19. The week coincides with Canada's official celebration of Tourism Week. We Need You!!!! Last year, the Gull Lake Tourism Committee opened the Gull Lake Visitor Centre and introduced the Prairie Handmade Gift Shop. Four-Day School Week Option Being Explored by Rural Southwest Schools
What’s Being Considered Rural schools in the Chinook School Division are beginning to explore whether a four‑day school week could work for their communities. Several School Community Councils have asked the division for information about alternate school‑week calendars and what a pilot program would involve.
