Tompkins School and Community Make Donation to SPCA
The Swift Current SPCA was grateful for a donation made by the Tompkins School and community. Tompkins School held a Christmas concert with a dog theme and asked for donations for the SPCA. In addition to that, they gave a contribution in the amount of $185! Source: Swift Current SPCA

Gull Lake Museum 2022 Report
Just a bit about the museum for 2022. We did some minor maintenance during summer such as spraying weed repairing screen tree cleanup adding birdhouses. The biggest project was hiring a contractor to redo the roof on the school (Rigpro from Maple Creek did a great job). We also upgraded the locks on the house and the school. The best news is how much the museum was used all summer! Fiona Cadence and Peggy hosted Monday afternoon tea and cake all summer, with 15 to 20 ladies

As Federal Carbon Tax Rises SaskPower Bills Rise 3%
In the New Year, consumers of SaskPower will experience a three percent rise in their electricity prices due to the federal carbon tax. The Federal Carbon Tax on SaskPower's carbon emissions will increase from $50 per tonne to $65 per tonne on January 1, 2023.
