Town of Gull Lake Passes an Urban Hen Bylaw
The Urban Hen Bylaw was approved by the Town of Gull Lake at its regular meeting on November 23, 2022. This bylaw enables Gull Lake residents to keep up to four chickens within the municipal limits. According to the bylaw, all owners must have a valid license for their hens, and residents are not permitted to own roosters. The bylaw will allow for a two-year pilot program beginning in January 2023. Following that period, Council will revaluate the program's viability. For mor

Town of Gull Lake Exploring Options for Water Supply and Treatment Infrastructure
The Town of Gull Lake has invested in exploring options for upgrading our water supply and treatment infrastructure in order to provide a reliable source of potable water to homes and businesses within the community over the coming decades. The Town’s existing potable water supply exceeds the maximum acceptable concentrations for trihalomethane (THM) which poses a long-term health risk to consumers. A 2020 Feasibility Study identified the construction of a new Water Treatmen

Town of Gull Lake Launches New Website
The Town of Gull Lake has developed a new website with a fresh look. The Town of Gull Lake, Gull Lake Tourism, and Tourism Saskatchewan all contributed to the investment in a new website. The design, content, and organization of the website are all strong points. The website's slogan, "A safe and friendly community," is a little generic, but slogans can be changed. My personal preference would be to label the town as a "family-friendly community" or something similar. Gull La

From Horses to Hydrants: The Legacy of "Slim" Willman
My grandfather, Slim Willman, with his team on a winter day. It’s easy to take for granted the simple act of turning on a kitchen tap. For producers like Doug Logan, who farms near Gull Lake, this announcement is more than a headline—it’s a lifeline for the 2026 growi
