Community Action Planning Continues in Gull Lake
Gull Lake will hold its second Community Action Planning Meeting on Thursday, February 14. The first meeting presented an overview of the planning process and prompted participants to engage in a discussion on the future development of Gull Lake. RCMP Requesting Public's Assistance
Swift Current Rural RCMP is requesting the public's assistance regarding an incident early this morning. A Gull Lake (Chinook School Division) van was stolen from the school parking lot at 12:30 a.m. & later recovered south of Gull Lake. The 2023 Pig Spleen Weather Forecast
This year's forecast is based on several spleens from the Cobler Farm near Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, and also spleens from the Earview Hutterite Colony. Over the past few years, these spleens have proven to be valuable specimens for weather predictions, and the spleen donations are greatly appreciated. Town Council Approves Transfer Station Subsidy
It's been a year since Dynamic Disposal leased the Transfer Station from Gull Lake. The one-year lease began on January 1, 2022, when Dynamic established the Gull Lake Regional Transfer Station and took over its operations. The operations of the Transfer Station were examined at the January 11, 2023 Town Council meeting . New Grants Available For Child Care Facilities
The Saskatchewan and Canadian governments have announced three new one-time grants to help regulated early learning and child care centres and homes across the province. A one-time investment of $44 million in grants is intended to help offset inflationary expenses, support preventative maintenance and repairs of centres, and provide money for outdoor winter play equipment.
