Extreme Cold Alert: Brace for Prolonged Wind Chills Across Southern Saskatchewan
A prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected. A multi-day extreme cold event begins overnight tonight for southern Saskatchewan. Overnight low temperatures near -30°C with winds up to 15 km/h will produce extremely cold wind chill values nearing -45°C tonight. Wind chills will moderate slightly during the day but will return to extreme values Monday night, affecting southeastern portions of the province. Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Raising $15,000 for a Great Cause: The Success of the Gull Lake Autumn House Fundraiser
The Gull Lake Community Hall recently hosted the Autumn House Fundraiser, a sold-out event that brought the community together to support a great cause. The event raised an incredible $15,000 to repair the air conditioning system at the Autumn House Independent Living Facility. Gull Lake’s Carter Bleau Selected in 2026 WHL Prospects Draft
Carter Bleau. (Photo from the Swift Current U15 AA Pure Chem Broncos on Facebook) Gull Lake’s Carter Bleau was selected in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft on Thursday, going in the sixth round, 123rd overall, to the Regina Pats. His name was the first from southwest Saskatchewan to appear on the draft board this year. Bleau is coming off a strong season with the Swift Current U15 AA Pure Chem Broncos, where he recorded 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points in 21 games. He added
