Will Gull Lake Lose Its Beloved Summer Tradition Due to Lifeguard Shortage?

Swimmers with colorful pool noodles race in a blue pool. Spectators in yellow shirts watch from poolside under a canopy, sunny day.

The community of Gull Lake is facing the unfortunate possibility of losing one of its beloved summer traditions. Veren Pool, located in Gull Lake, has announced that, due to a lack of lifeguard and instructor applications, the facility may remain closed for the upcoming summer season. 💔

This cherished community hub has long been a place for connection, fun, and learning during the summer months. Unfortunately, without the required staff to ensure safety and run programming, the pool cannot open its doors this year.

However, there’s still hope. Veren Pool is calling on certified lifeguards and instructors to step forward and help save the summer!

If you or someone you know is qualified and looking for a meaningful job this summer, please contact Veren Pool at:

📞 306-672-4449

The final decision on whether the pool can open will be made by May 1st, so time is of the essence.

Let’s come together as a community to help keep Veren Pool open for another season. Spread the word and share this message! 💙
