Gull Lake Town Council has formalized a new partnership with SPCA Swift Current, strengthening support for regional animal welfare services.

The agreement was finalized last fall after Council met with members of the SPCA’s executive board to discuss growing needs across the southwest.

Gull Lake is the first municipality outside of Swift Current to enter into a formal partnership with the SPCA. The decision reflects both responsibility and reality — our community consistently ranks among the SPCA’s top intake areas each year. This partnership helps ensure that animals from Gull Lake and the surrounding region receive the care they need.

The SPCA receives no federal or provincial operational funding, making municipal partnerships an essential part of sustaining the organization’s work. Council’s support contributes to a service relied on by families, farms, and communities throughout southwest Saskatchewan.
