Town Council Establishes a "NO Parking" Zone on 7th Street

Updated: Feb 17, 2022

The Town Council has established a "NO Parking" zone along the north side of 7th street. The Town crew installed 9 signs along the north side of 7th Street. The street is frequently used by heavy truck and commercial traffic. The "No Parking" zone should help to address a parking problem that caused some traffic congestion on 7th street from Price Avenue to Rutland Avenue.

This was the latest in a series of traffic improvements over the last 12 months. Earlier this year, the town installed new speed signs on the streets surrounding the recreation facilities. Between Lake Avenue and Second Street, as well as between First Street and Farm Avenue, yield signs have been installed. The most notable improvement were the illuminated pedestrian crosswalks near the school and the downtown.
