Position Overview


SARCAN offers careers that make a difference in communities across Saskatchewan. This casual Recycling Technician role supports day‑to‑day depot operations and contributes to a greener, more inclusive province. The team includes people of all abilities, working together in a supportive and accommodating environment.


What the Role Involves


  • Counting and sorting beverage containers for deposit refunds

  • Operating the cash register when required

  • Preparing containers for shipment and loading products onto trailers

  • Learning the full operation of the depot

  • Taking on Depot Supervisor duties during absences once trained

  • Becoming a knowledgeable recycling resource for customers, coworkers, and even family and friends


What You Need


  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks

  • Reliability and dependability

  • A team‑oriented approach

  • A satisfactory criminal record check (required for employment)
