The Saskatchewan Health Authority is now hiring a Maintenance Services Worker at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre. This role is more than a job—it’s a chance to contribute directly to the care and comfort of our community’s most vulnerable residents.


🛠️ The Role


  • Performs general maintenance and repairs for facility systems, equipment, grounds, and buildings.

  • Ensures the Special Care Centre remains a safe, functional, and dignified space for residents and staff.

  • Works part‑time (0.5 FTE), with shifts on days and weekends.


💰 Compensation


  • Pay Band 11: $22.60 – $24.21/hour (3‑step range).

  • Unionized position (SEIU).

  • Permanent employment with stability in a trusted organization.


📅 Schedule


  • 7 shifts of 8 hours every 3 weeks.

  • Expected start date: December 15, 2025.

  • Travel required.


🎓 Qualifications


  • Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience (commercial or industrial).

  • Fireman Boiler Operator certificate.

  • Boiler Operator License (Boiler & Pressure Vessels Safety Act).

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

  • Additional certificates (Pool Operator, Refrigeration Plant Operator/Engineer) may be required depending on duties.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Organizational ability and independence.

  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and safe practices.
