Repairing the roof and restoring the façade were among the exterior improvements. The front doors and windows have also been restored. The restoration work on the building is still ongoing, and it will take some time before it is ready for use.

The Committees are working hard to secure grants and raise funds for future restoration projects. The upstairs was once an apartment and could be used as such, or as an Aibnb or other type of lodging, once restored. One suggestion was to open a coffee shop on the lower level.
