Peggy Willman Recognized for Outstanding Volunteer Contributions

Peggy Willman, a long-time Gull Lake resident, has received provincial recognition from the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association for her extraordinary dedication to volunteer work. Her efforts have left a significant mark on our community, showcasing the profound impact of consistent and meaningful service.


Peggy has devoted her time to a variety of initiatives aimed at enhancing recreation, culture, and social connections within Gull Lake. Her work with the Recreation Advisory Committee includes the development of the Kiaskus Trail, a five-kilometer walking path that has become a popular feature in the community. She also spearheaded the conversion of Gull Lake’s old tennis courts into a hybrid Pickleball/Tennis court, introducing residents to the growing sport of pickleball.


In addition to her recreational contributions, Peggy has played a vital role in supporting local organizations such as the SWT Theatre and the Gull Lake Senior Citizens Hall. Her involvement has helped these organizations thrive, allowing them to continue serving residents and fostering community engagement.


This provincial recognition highlights the broader impact of Peggy’s volunteer work, extending beyond Gull Lake to serve as an inspiring example for communities across the province.
