Gull Lake Organizations Receives Over $4,500 in Gaming Grants

Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS) distributed $2.8 million in charitable gaming grants to more than 1,400 organizations and groups in the province during the second quarter of 2024-25. Minister Jeremy Harrison reaffirmed the government's resolve to guarantee gaming's positive impact on society.


Several Gull Lake organizations were among the fortunate recipients of a substantial sum of $4,503.78. Local organizations that received these grants are listed below:


  • Chinook Regional Library - Gull Lake Branch: $140.00

  • Gull Lake & District Kinettes: $624.00

  • Autumn House Independent Living Facility Inc.: $286.63

  • Gull Lake & Area Recreation Complex Board: $2,573.27

  • Gull Lake Athletics Association Bantam Cyclones: $352.88

  • Gull Lake Athletics Association Initiation: $52.50

  • Gull Lake Athletics Association Pee Wee: $363.25

  • Gull Lake U9 Novice: $111.25


Charitable organizations and groups in over 280 Saskatchewann communities received funding, with Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, Humboldt, Weyburn, Meadow Lake, Swift Current, and Yorkton receiving significant portions.


An organization or group can get a quarterly grant up to $100,000 per year if it is in good standing and holds regulated charitable gaming events including bingo, raffles, and poker tournaments. The award is based on 25% of the net income earned by each event.
