Gull Lake’s home diamond delivered a strong weekend of ball as the community hosted the Baseball Saskatchewan 35+ Senior Provincial Championships — and the hometown Loons finished the tournament with a title.
Gull Lake Claims the B Final
The Gull Lake Loons opened the weekend with a perfect 3–0 record in pool play, defeating the Coteau Hills Combines, Riverhurst, and Regina Drifters to secure a semifinal spot.
A tight 4–3 loss to Maple Creek in the semifinal sent the Loons to the B Final, but the home team rebounded with a decisive 10–3 win over the Regina Drifters to capture the B Championship on their own field.
Maple Creek Finishes Second in A Division
The Maple Creek Mohawks also had a strong showing, advancing to the A Final on Sunday. They fell 7–2 to the Wawota Royals, finishing as the A Division runner‑up.
