December 22, 2025 Council Highlights: Infrastructure & Appointments

Council’s final meeting before Christmas focused on building‑code appointments, routine facility maintenance, and standard year‑end financial approvals.

Dog Bite Report

Virtual SUMA Summit

Municipal leaders from across Saskatchewan will attend online for policy updates, breakout sessions, and discussions on sector challenges. Appointment of Building Officials (MuniCode Services Ltd.)


Council appointed the following certified Building Officials under Section 16 of The Construction Codes Act:


Clayton Meier (BOL332), Ryan Thiessen (BOL357), Shenah Cartier (BOL622), Clint Vargo (BOL798), Kelsey Rebryna (BOL818), Mathew Stepp (BOL807), Amanda Kaufmann (BOL885)


Plain-language: Building Officials review construction plans and conduct inspections to ensure buildings meet provincial safety codes.


Elk’s Hall – Eavestrough Downspout Rerouting


Council approved the quote from Sletten Contracting Ltd. for $2,350.00 + taxes to reroute the downspout.


Plain-language: Redirecting the downspout helps protect the building foundation and manage drainage.


Sewer Clean‑Out – 4163 Price Avenue


Council approved payment of $216.45 to Hwy 1 Plumbing & Heating for the sewer clean-out.


Plain-language: This typically covers part of the cost for clearing a blockage and restoring proper service.
