Description

Autumn House is an Independent Living Facility looking for a Care Aide to support Level 1 and Level 2 residents.

This position provides assistance with residents’ daily needs, supports activities, and encourages independence in a home‑like atmosphere.

Care Aide Duties

• Maintain documentation (charts and notes)

• Report, observe, and record physical and psychological changes in resident condition (e.g., skin, mobility, vitals, glucose levels)

• Maintain good communication with residents, their supporters, and their doctor

• Assist with daily living as per care plan (nutrition, personal care, mobility)

• Provide assistance with dressing, bathing, grooming, handing out medication, and one‑person lifts/transfers

Requirements

• Grade 12

• Reliable and dependable

• Satisfactory criminal record check required before first day of work

Assets (Not Required)

• First Aid

• CPR

• Food Handling Course

• Personal Care Worker Course or equivalent (e.g., Continuing Care Aide Certification)

• TLR

• WHMIS

On‑the‑job training will be provided if you do not have these certifications.
