We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of Beverly Louisa Montgomery on July 8, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. Bev lived her life to the fullest and was one of the most beautiful, kind‑hearted, generous, and loving people you could ever meet. Her grace, warmth, and steady kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Life & Legacy

Bev grew up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where her parents, Gordon and Marion Dodd (Neilly), instilled the values that shaped her life: honesty, integrity, hard work, and the importance of family. She spent her childhood camping and swimming at Clear Lake in Manitoba, attended Palliser Heights Elementary School, and later Central Collegiate High School. Even in her youth, Bev was known for her wide circle of friends, her fashion and design sense, and a personality that blended shyness with confidence and grace.

Bev lived a life many dream of—rich with adventure, friendship, and love. She enjoyed live music, road trips on her motorcycle, traveling to Mexico, Caribbean cruises, camping in the trailer, and time at the lake. She worked as assistant manager at the Saskatoon and Medicine Hat Costco stores, helped run the Montgomery & Sons Polaris Dealership with Roy’s family, and looked after clients at their Grey Owl Fish Camp. In recent years, she embraced retirement with joy.

Her happiest place was the family cabin on Lac La Ronge, surrounded by Roy, her children, grandchildren, and her beloved dogs—Chaos, Havoc, and Skye. Campfires, northern lights, wine and good food, boat rides, and time spent with friends and family filled her soul.

Family

Bev’s husband, Roy, was the love of her life, and together they shared a strong bond and countless adventures. She leaves behind her daughters Kerry (Derek) Skrudland and Kim (Morgan) Buckingham, whom she loved deeply. Bev adored her grandchildren: Carrson and Rhett Skrudland, and Claire, Lily, and Dane Buckingham—each one a bright light in her life.

She will be missed by her siblings Joanne (Scott) Dodd, Jim (Sandra) Dodd, and Ken Dodd; her mother‑in‑law Donna Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large circle of cherished friends.

Bev was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Marion Dodd (Neilly) and her father‑in‑law Jack Montgomery.
