Community Call: Autumn House Seeks Year-End Support for Safety Upgrade

Entrance of a building labeled "Autumn House" with a sign reading "Care * Comfort * Community." Glass doors, beige siding, address 143.

According to a recent post from Autumn House on their Facebook page, the facility is encouraging year‑end donations as 2025 draws to a close. With tax season approaching, they note that contributions made before December 31 will be eligible for a receipt—giving donors the opportunity to support a local cause while also receiving a benefit on this year’s return.

The seniors’ care facility has identified a pressing need in its fire suppression system, with repair and replacement costs estimated at $50,000. While the price tag is significant, staff emphasize that the work is essential to ensure the safety of both residents and employees.

To recognize community support, Autumn House has announced:

  • Tax receipts will be issued for all donations made before year‑end.

  • A donor wall is planned, with the names of contributors to be displayed—ideally before Christmas—as a lasting acknowledgment of those who step forward to help.

Community members interested in contributing are asked to contact Melissa, Community Relations and Development Coordinator, at 306‑671‑0328.

Autumn House is grateful for the community’s consideration as they work to close the year on a strong note and ensure the facility remains a safe and welcoming home for residents and staff alike.
