Local EMS/Firefighter Receives Platinum Jublee Medal
Brian Walters, a local EMS/Firefighter, was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal. Brian has spent the last five years with Gull Lake EMS and the Gull Lake Fire Department. Wow, what a weekend! There were a lot of GREAT costumes on Friday night, but the ultimate winners were the disco balls! GLAA Recognizes Long-Time Official Tim Jones
At the Greyhound game tonight, GLAA recognized a very deserving, long-time official. Tim Jones has been a Southwest Sask official for many years and has officiated in many communities. Without people like Tim, Minor Hockey in our community and surrounding areas would not be able to exist. Tyler Lamarre Brings Home Gold and Silver
Congratulations to Tyler Lamarre and his coach, Bruce Martin. At the Saskatchewan Winter Games, Tyler brought home two medals: a gold in the Male Air Pistol competition and a silver in the Mixed Air Pistol competition. Great Job Tyler!! This year we have 7 ladies headed to TeleMiracle 47 on February 25th and we couldn’t be more excited! First off we would like to thank Shop Cat T’s for so graciously offering to donate t-shirts for us to wear during our shifts! Last night, GLAA recognized two of our long-standing referees in our community.
