On October 21, 2023, the Tompkins Country Carnival and Halloween Dance raised $9,280.00, which was split evenly between the Waterplant and the Library. A white 1997 Dutchman camper with Saskatchewan licence plate 667MNS, a teal horizontal stripe along the sides, and a length of 26 feet was stolen from Tompkins. The theft happened on August 15, 2023, about 6:20 a.m. The suspect truck is a black crew cab short box with a thick chrome accent on the front driver's, and may have a slip tank in the back.. This past Friday and Saturday, the first annual Dodgeball tournament was conducted at the Gull Lake Recreation Complex. Eleven teams competed for the tournament's championship.
