Fall Fair Planned for Year End Downtown Market
Aurora Bowery and Gull Lake's Economic Development Committee are planning a Fall Fair on 9 September 2023, to acquire funds for local projects and groups. The first idea is to create a permanent outdoor public market space. With community support, the fall fair will have music, funfair games and activities for all ages! Break and Enter at Viterra Grain Terminal
On July 29, 2023, the Viterra Grain Terminal in the RM of Gull Lake was victim of a break and enter. A male driving a red Ford F150 with a black hood went to the location, stole gas and cut a lock off of a building. 2023 A Busy Street Paving Year for Gull Lake
Gull Lake street paving is now underway. This year, numerous paving projects are being carried out in Gull Lake. The paving of Centennial Place, Seventh Street and the EMS parking lot was approved earlier this year. At the June 28th meeting, street patching and paving of Sixth Street were also added to the list, subject to final budget approval. SWT Theatre receives a $25,000 Community Development Grant
Yesterday, the Innovation Federal Credit Union presented the SWT Theatre with a Community Development Grant in the amount of $25,000. Cole Girodat, manager of the SWT Theatre, wrote, "We are honoured to be among the recipients, and are one step closer to our fundraiser goal for our Lobby Modernization Project." The Gull Lake Tourism Committee welcomes the relocation and reopening of the Prairie Handmade Shop in the Gull Lake Museum. Gift stores not only help to draw people to museums, but the correct gift shop can add to the museum's uniqueness.
