Get ready for a day packed with winter excitement as the Town of Gull Lake hosts its annual Winterfest celebration on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Gull Lake Recreation Complex. Proudly sponsored by Whitecap Resources Inc., this beloved community event promises something for everyone—residents and visitors alike.
A Full Day of Festivities
The fun starts bright and early at 9 a.m. with a hearty community breakfast. From there, browse a vibrant market and tradeshow until 2 p.m., perfect for picking up unique local items. Kids will have plenty to enjoy with crafts and games running from 10 a.m. to noon.
At 2 p.m., families can head over to see Saskatchewan entertainer Danny Kazam perform his crowd-pleasing magic show. The afternoon also features a variety of lively competitions, including the Draw to the Button curling contest (2–4 p.m.), with finals at 4:15 p.m., plus a pie-eating contest and musical chairs at 3 p.m.
Outdoor Adventures
Step outside between noon and 2 p.m. for classic winter fun around the bonfire—roast s’mores, join snow plank races with Clairbank 4‑H, or try your hand at winter disc golf and snowshoeing (equipment provided). Sleigh rides will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. The festivities will wrap up with a spectacular fireworks display at 7 p.m.
Food and Evening Entertainment
Enjoy lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., served by Empire Pizza and Zanidean Café, with proceeds going to support the Islamic Centre of Swift Current. Supper, catered by Ryan Lefaive, will be available from 4 to 7 p.m. Adults can unwind in the beer gardens from 4 to 7:30 p.m., featuring Rafter R Brewing and a selection of other beverages.
Don’t miss the “Name That Tune & Trivia” event, running from 5 to 7 p.m.—a great way to test your knowledge and enjoy some friendly competition.
