Tompkins Students Paint Hydrants With Creative Colourful Designs.

The Village of Tompkins Fire Hydrant Project has been in the works for awhile. The Village approached the school to see if we would like to paint the hydrants in town and we jumped at the chance. They provided the supplies and we supplied the creativity and artistry. We couldn't be happier with how these turned out!!

It always amazes me what our K-5 students can create! These fire hydrants look amazing and the students have all said they will return to town and show their kids these someday. The time spent painting was quite rewarding as we learned many stories from the children. Mrs. Fernquist is still covered in paint! We love projects where we can work together with the community and build a sense of pride in our students for where they grew up!
