Tompkins Spirit in Action: Online Auction for Dylan & Stacey Soars Past Target

The strength of community spirit showed immediately after the online auction opened. Just hours in, the Rinkfundraiser2025 auction for Dylan and Stacey McGregor’s medical journey had already raised $17,180—nearly doubling its $10,000 goal before the first day was done.
The Tompkins Skating Rink’s Facebook post on November 9 was the first call to action, inviting people to donate, bid, and support Dylan & Stacey. That early announcement gave neighbors time to prepare items, spread the word, and rally behind the family before the auction went live.
🌟 A Community Rallies
Neighbors, local businesses, and volunteer groups from Tompkins and the surrounding area came together to organize the auction, offering 57 donated items. Every bid is more than just financial support—it’s a way of giving back to Dylan & Stacey, who have volunteered with many local groups.
