Three Points Economic Partnership shared their regional collaboration model during the 2026 SAASE Convention, held on March 21 in Swift Current. Their presentation outlined how neighbouring communities are working together to support growth, engage youth, and create new opportunities across southwest Saskatchewan.

SAASE — the Saskatchewan Association of Agricultural Societies and Exhibitions — is the provincial organization that supports agricultural societies, community events, and volunteer‑driven development across the province. Its annual convention brings together community leaders, volunteers, and organizations for training, presentations, and networking.

During their presentation, Three Points highlighted the importance of cooperation among rural communities. As the organization noted in their update, “Collaboration doesn’t require large populations or extensive resources—it starts with a willingness to work together, support one another, and invest in the future of your region.” Their message emphasized that regional progress is built on shared commitment rather than scale.

These ideas, and the momentum behind them, continue to shape conversations across southwest Saskatchewan as more communities explore joint approaches to planning, programming, and economic development.

Regional promotion is strongest when multiple municipalities participate, and initiatives like Three Points show how shared planning and joint promotion can help create a more unified regional presence.

Readers interested in seeing more of their ongoing work—including youth engagement, community learning events, and regional initiatives—can find updates on the Three Points Economic Partnership Facebook page.

Three Points Economic Partnership also expressed appreciation to SAASE for providing a platform where communities from across the province can exchange ideas, share experiences, and strengthen connections within Saskatchewan’s economic development network. Their presentation adds to the broader regional discussion about cooperation and long‑term economic resilience.
