Gull Lake has another reason to be proud this week.

Levynn Toney of Gull Lake School captured the rural regional wrestling championship in the 80 KG category on Saturday, earning a well‑deserved spot at the SHSAA provincial wrestling event in Saskatoon next weekend. Congratulations also go out to her coach, Curtis Biem, for guiding her to this impressive milestone.

This victory continues a remarkable season for Levynn. Just a few weeks ago, she took home gold at the SHSAA South Saskatchewan Championship in Moose Jaw—a performance that put her firmly on the provincial radar and highlighted her consistency and skill on the mat.

One detail worth highlighting: Levynn’s outstanding performance alone was enough to place Gull Lake School eighth in the female team division. That’s an extraordinary accomplishment for one athlete and speaks volumes about her determination, preparation, and competitive spirit.

Gull Lake will be cheering her on as she steps onto the provincial stage.

Well done, Levynn—and best of luck in Saskatoon!
