Hazlet’s annual Showcase once again showed how strongly this community shows up for one another. More than 160 people filled the hall on Friday night for an evening of generosity, good food, and shared purpose—all aimed at supporting projects that keep Hazlet moving forward.
An organizer noted how often items were bought and then donated back to be auctioned again, a gesture that set the tone for the night. Early estimates place the total near $100,000, continuing the strong support seen in past years.
Impact by the Numbers.
Total Raised: Nearly $100,000 (estimate)
Attendance: 160+
Dessert Auction: $6,000+
Beneficiaries: Hazlet Hall, Hazlet Rink Complex, Hazlet Regional Park, Hazlet Economic Development Committee
The evening featured live and silent auctions, games, a steak supper, and a bar, with the program guided by the night’s MCs and auctioneer. Volunteers worked steadily behind the scenes to keep the hall running smoothly, ensuring everyone was well fed, comfortable, and able to enjoy the night.
Organizers say the Showcase has become a fixture on the local calendar, not just for the event itself but for the improvements it helps make possible. Upgrades at the park, ongoing work at the hall and rink, and general community enhancements all reflect the impact of past fundraisers. Residents say they can see the results and are proud to be part of the progress.
Photos from the evening are available on the Village of Hazlet’s Facebook page, and organizers plan to share sponsor acknowledgements and the confirmed final total once all numbers are in.
When Hazlet gathers, the whole community benefits—and it shows.
