Halloween Safety Tips For Everyone

Halloween is quickly approaching, and ghosts and goblins will be trick or treating this Sunday. The Saskatchewan Safety Council has created a short video that includes a number of safety precautions for trick-or-treaters.

With Covid-19 also a factor this Halloween, trick-or-treaters should stay at home if they are feeling ill. Wear a mask and, if possible, incorporate it into your costume. Maintain a two-metre physical distance; and wash your hands before and after Trick-or-Treating.

Those who will be handing out candy If you are feeling under the weather, please refrain from handing out candy. It is recommended that only one person per household who has been vaccinated hand out treats to Trick-or-Treaters. Make sure to wear a mask and wash your hands frequently when handing out candy. To hand out candy, use tongs or individual candy bags, and only offer candy that has been purchased and individually wrapped in a store.
