Gull Lake Stories Come to Life April 15 at the Lyceum Theatre

Residents and history enthusiasts are invited to experience a special premiere that brings Gull Lake’s past to life on the big screen.


A new Local History Video Series, produced by the Gull Lake Tourism and Economic Development Committee, will debut on April 15 at 5:30 PM during the SWT Lyceum Theatre’s National Canadian Film Day event. Admission is free.

Featuring Local Storytellers


Recorded last fall, the series highlights the voices of Norm White, Bernard Kirwan, Les Potter, and Cole Girodat as they share stories, memories, and reflections on Gull Lake’s past. Their conversations offer a grounded look at the people, places, and moments that shaped the community.


Part of National Canadian Film Day


The premiere is part of the Lyceum Theatre’s National Canadian Film Day celebration, giving attendees the chance to enjoy both national cinema and homegrown storytelling.

Residents can also visit the theatre’s website for the full NCFD schedule.


Summer Viewing at the Museum

After the debut, the full series will run on loop throughout the summer at the Gull Lake Museum, offering ongoing access for residents and visitors.
