Gull Lake Residents: Sign Up Now for Real-Time Safety Alerts

The Southwest Regional Emergency Measures Organization (SWREMO) is rolling out a new emergency notification system to help keep Gull Lake and surrounding communities safer and better informed. Registration is quick and free, ensuring you’ll receive timely alerts whenever emergencies impact our region.

Why Sign Up?

With SWREMO’s mass notification tool, you’ll get instant alerts about potential or imminent threats—such as severe weather, wildfires, or local emergencies—delivered directly to your phone, email, or both. No downloads or apps are required. Just scan a QR code, answer a few quick questions, and you’re set.

Built for the Southwest

SWREMO is funded and supported by municipalities across the region, including the Town and RM of Gull Lake, Shaunavon, and the RMs of Webb, Carmichael, Arlington, Grassy Creek, Bone Creek, and Wise Creek. While the program is less than two years old and the QR code rollout is new, feedback has already been positive. Many residents have signed up, appreciating the opportunity to stay connected and prepared.

Supporting Local Responders

The system isn’t just for public alerts. It also features a secure online command centre for first responders and municipal planners, allowing emergency teams to coordinate from anywhere using their phones, laptops, or tablets. This means faster, more flexible responses during critical events.

To keep the system ready, local responders will soon run practice scenarios—including a cold-weather drill—to ensure readiness for the kind of emergencies common in our region.

How to Register

Signing up is simple!

Scan the QR code below with your smartphone’s camera to register for emergency safety alerts.
