Gull Lake Sidewalk Upgrades Aim to Improve Safety and Accessibility

The Town of Gull Lake is moving forward with two key infrastructure upgrades designed to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility in high-traffic areas.

Gull Lake Canada Post Office Sidewalk Replacement

The sidewalk adjacent to the Gull Lake Post Office on Conrad Avenue is set to be removed and replaced. The current surface—visibly cracked and uneven—has long posed challenges for accessibility. The new 40-meter monolithic sidewalk will offer a smoother, safer experience for residents and visitors accessing postal services.

Kreative Kidz Daycare Sidewalk Project

A new sidewalk will also be constructed along the west side of Kreative Kidz Early Learning Centre, thanks to a $40,000 grant from SGI’s Provincial Traffic Safety Fund.

The new pathway will be wheelchair- and stroller-accessible, creating a smooth, safe connection for families. This location was chosen to shift drop‑off and pickup away from the busier south entrance, improving safety for children and caregivers.

Tender Now Open

The town has issued a formal invitation to tender for both projects. Contractors interested in bidding can find full details and documents on SaskTenders and the Bids and Tenders portal.

📅 Tender closes: Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. CST

📄 Documents available: August 26, 2025

🛠 **Construction will begin following the tender process and contract award.

These upgrades are part of a broader effort to enhance pedestrian infrastructure across Gull Lake—making public spaces safer, more accessible, and more welcoming for all.
