The charitable gaming grant program of the provincial government has awarded grants totaling more than $900,000 to groups and organizations that have participated in charitable gaming activities.
A total of $8,207.94 was awarded to Gull Lake as part of a grant program administered by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) during the most recent quarter. The local list of recipients included:
The Chinook Regional Library - Gull Lake Branch received $135.00.
The Gull Lake & Area Recreation Complex Board received $5,135.44
Gull Lake & District Kinettes received $625.00
Gull Lake Curling Club received $2,312.50
Groups that raise funds through licensed charitable gaming (bingo, raffles, breakopen ticket sales, Texas Hold'em poker, and Monte Carlo events) are eligible to receive a quarterly grant equal to 25% of the net proceeds raised through these activities.
