I’m excited to share insights from the Gull Lake Events platform, highlighting our tremendous growth and community engagement over the years. Running this as a solo project has been a learning curve, but seeing the site become a vibrant digital town square makes it all worthwhile. Together, we’ve built a space that truly celebrates local news, events, and everything Gull Lake. Here’s a look at our 2025 journey.

895,704 Facebook Views: Our stories, photos, and updates were seen nearly one million times on Facebook alone!
28,654 Website Page Views: We saw an incredible 86.5% growth in website traffic compared to 2024. More people than ever now rely on the site as their go-to source for local information.
The 6-Minute Standard: Our engagement has nearly doubled. In 2024, readers stayed for 2–4 minutes; in 2025, you spent an average of over 6 minutes per visit. You aren’t just scrolling—you’re truly staying informed.
24,100+ Event Discoveries: By promoting local events in every story we publish, we helped neighbors find things to do over 24,000 times through our Event Page, Community Calendar, and blog updates.
13,077 Facebook Interactions: You didn’t just watch; you engaged. From likes to shares, our community connected over 13,000 times—proof that Gull Lake is always talking.
9,718 Unique Visitors: We reached nearly 10,000 individuals—including residents, neighbors, and former locals who still keep an eye on home.
Instagram Momentum: Our visual updates are taking off. In just the past 90 days, we saw over 12,000 views and reached more than 1,110 unique accounts.
Building a Stronger Gull Lake: Our 2025 Impact
Local News & Breaking Updates: Keeping the community informed is our core mission. In 2025, our news updates generated over 18,500 views, delivering timely information on everything from council decisions and community support to resident achievements and local milestones.
Coffee Row & Editorials: These sections provide the "voice" of our town. With over 3,000 views, these posts offered a space for storytelling, local culture, and deeper perspectives on the issues that matter most to Gull Lake residents.
Civic Engagement & Town Council: Our community cares about the details. Between our Council Landing Page and detailed post summaries, we saw over 1,100 deep-dives into local governance. With readers spending an average of 3 minutes on each council report, it’s clear that council decisions truly matter to Gull Lake residents.
Local Favorites: We’ve loved showcasing the most popular posts across all categories in Gull Lake. The Local Favorites section features stories, events, businesses, traditions, Local Heroes, and many more categories—spotlighting the people and moments that resonated most with our readers. It’s become a go-to resource for both residents and visitors.
New for 2025: A Place for Compassion: Last year, we launched our Obituary section, providing a respectful, timely, and accessible space to honor our neighbors and stay connected during difficult times.
Connecting Workers & Supporting Local Business: We’ve become a vital hub for our local economy. Over 1,000 unique visitors used our site to look for local jobs, and over 1,650 people tuned in to support business milestones like the opening of Prairie Green Cannabis.
