Gull Lake By-Election Call For Nominations

Updated: Feb 10

Today, the Town of Gull Lake issued a request for nominations to fill the vacant council seat vacated by Dennis Leahy, who resigned on April 5th. Nomination forms are available at the Town Office and must be returned to the Returning Officer Dawnette Peterson between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on August 23rd.

If you are considering running for Town Council, it is an excellent opportunity to serve your town. However, it does need some commitment and time beyond the biweekly Wednesday night meetings. In addition, you will be expected to serve on committees such as Economic Development, Strategic Planning, Emergency Services, etc. While you can learn on the go, you should take advantage of educational opportunities that can help you become an excellent councillor. Above all, join council to help create a bright future for your community.
