Gull Lake was represented in a big way this weekend as Blended Souls Coffee participated in the Swift Current SPCA’s “Jail & Bail” fundraiser—a one‑day event that brought in $10,910 to support shelter operations and animal care.
Hosted at the Swift Current Mall, the fundraiser invited community members to be “jailed” and raise donations to earn their release. According to the SPCA, the event not only reached its fundraising goal but also saw four animals adopted during the day. In true community spirit, the event even featured a volunteer dressed as the Grinch, playfully “disturbing the peace” and adding a bit of humour to the fundraiser.

Blended Souls Coffee joined other volunteers and participants from across the region, contributing to a fundraiser that supports the SPCA’s ongoing work. Their involvement reflects the many ways local businesses contribute to causes that matter across Southwest Saskatchewan.
About the Fundraiser
Funds raised during Jail & Bail support the SPCA’s day‑to‑day operations — from animal care to veterinary costs. The SPCA notes that donations can be made year‑round through the shelter, by phone, or online.
A Community Note
Blended Souls Coffee’s involvement is another example of local businesses supporting worthy causes.
