The largest project approved was a hydrant and swab centre installation at Grey Street and Proton Avenue, awarded at a cost of $44,630.62 plus hydrovac services and taxes. Council also approved $8,191.80 for work on the north well line, which includes cutting and capping the old line and replacing a section leading to the shut‑off valve. A new Franklin Vertical Turbine Pump Bowl will be purchased for $20,370 to support water distribution and system reliability.
Council approved Administrator Emella Waiser’s attendance at the RMAA Spring Workshop in Swift Current on April 2. Seasonal staffing preparations continued with the hiring of Austyn Gader as a lifeguard at $20.50 per hour for the upcoming pool season.
A demolition permit was issued for Lot 15–16, Block 39, Plan Q2639, allowing the property owner to proceed with site clearing or redevelopment.
Council reviewed correspondence from regional partners, including the RCMP’s 2026–27 Detachment Action Plan, the Heritage Saskatchewan annual report, and a SaskPower notice regarding 7464 Lake Avenue. Advanced Waste Solutions provided a fuel‑charge update related to the town’s waste and recycling contract; no changes to residential service were discussed.
Council also approved regular monthly accounts and financial obligations.
