$1.7 Million in Charitable Gaming Grants Distributed Province‑Wide; Gull Lake Groups Receive $5,606.91

Charitable gaming grants for the first quarter of 2026–27 have been released, with nearly $1.7 million distributed to organizations across Saskatchewan. These grants support groups that run licensed charitable gaming activities such as raffles, bingos, breakopen tickets, Texas hold ’em tournaments and Monte Carlo events.

Grants are calculated at 25 per cent of the net revenue raised by each charitable gaming event, up to a maximum of $100,000 per group annually. The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) determines each amount based on financial reports submitted by participating organizations.

• Gull Lake Athletics Association – Pee Wee Cyclones — $320.63

• Gull Lake Curling Club — $917.50

• Gull Lake Greyhounds U11 — $167.50

• Gull Lake Greyhounds U13 — $225.63

• Gull Lake Greyhounds U9 — $301.88

• Gull Lake Skating Club — $625.00

• Swift Current Female U18 Colts (Gull Lake players) — $1,898.01

These funds help local recreation groups, clubs and volunteer organizations offset costs tied to programming, equipment, travel and community activities.
