🏠 About Autumn House
Autumn House is an Independent Living Facility serving Level 1 and Level 2 residents. We provide a supportive, home-like atmosphere where residents are encouraged to maintain independence while receiving compassionate care.
💼 Position Overview: Care Aide
As a Care Aide, you will:
Assist residents with daily living needs (nutrition, personal care, mobility).
Provide support with dressing, bathing, grooming, and medication distribution.
Perform one-person lifts/transfers as required.
Maintain accurate documentation (charts, notes, reports).
Observe and record physical and psychological changes in residents (e.g., skin, mobility, vitals, glucose levels).
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
Facilitate activities that encourage independence and engagement.
📚 Qualifications
Required: Grade 12 education, satisfactory criminal record check.
Assets (not required):
First Aid & CPR
Food Handling Course
Personal Care Worker Course or Continuing Care Aide Certification
TLR, WHMIS training
On-the-job training will be provided if certifications are not yet obtained.
