Break‑In at GoFer Hole Ice Cream Shop

The GoFer Hole Ice Cream Shop experienced a break‑in overnight, sometime between 8:30 p.m. last night and 9 a.m. today. Food items were taken, but no money was kept on the premises.

Despite the setback, the owners shared that they plan to reopen Sunday at noon. They noted temporary shortages of bacon, footlong hot dogs, chicken breasts, several ice‑cream flavours, and other items still being sorted through in their inventory.

The GoFer Hole has long been a long‑standing summer favourite in Gull Lake, and moments like this highlight how important small businesses are to the community — and how quickly people rally when one faces a challenge.

Community takeaway: Supporting local shops helps keep Gull Lake’s community spirit strong, especially on the days when things don’t go as planned.
