On August 28, under open prairie skies and warm late‑summer weather, the community came together for the inaugural Walk to Remember, blending reflection, connection, and shared purpose in support of Autumn House.

Starting at Autumn House, participants took part in a 3 km walk along Kiaskus Trail with touching displays of framed photographs honoring loved ones. Families, friends, and neighbors moved together at a relaxed pace, sharing stories and strengthening bonds that make small‑town life so special.

The walk was organized by Melissa Adrienne Hundt, Autumn Development Director, for whom the event was deeply personal:

“This Walk was super important to me and to have great success in the very first year, makes me very hopeful that it will only get better. My heart is full.” - Melissa Adrienne Hundt

The event’s debut raised just over $600, directly benefiting Autumn House’s programs and services. Melissa extended her gratitude to everyone who attended, supported, and offered kind feedback, expressing hope that this new tradition will grow in both reach and impact in the years ahead.
