Autumn House Independent Living Facility is bringing a fresh burst of community energy to Gull Lake next week as it partners with Blended Souls for a fashion-themed fundraiser at the Elks Hall. The evening will blend local style, social connection, and a practical purpose: supporting Autumn House as it addresses significant infrastructure needs while keeping accommodations affordable for residents.

Melissa Palmier, Community Relations and Development Coordinator, says the idea grew from a mix of creativity and necessity. Blended Souls will provide clothing for the runway, as well as refreshments and door prizes, making this event as much about coming together as it is about raising funds. Meanwhile, Autumn House continues to navigate building repairs and rising costs, all while maintaining its commitment to accessible assisted living in a region where options are limited.

The fundraiser underscores how essential facilities like Autumn House are to rural Saskatchewan. As Palmier notes, demand for assisted living continues to grow, and community support is vital to ensure the building remains functional and resident costs stay manageable.
